Wakesurf Board Review: Shred Stixx Comp I

With the announcement of the Shred Stixx Custom Hazen comp I, it is clear that Stixx founder and sport pioneer Jerry Price will continue to set the bar in surf style wakesurf boards for 2009. The comp I brings a new dimension to the sport in the ability to boost huge airs and try tricks thought to be impossible a short time ago.  This revolutionary shape is the first quad fin board in the Stixx quiver and features a diamond shape nose, grab rails, and dove swallow tail. At 4′ 8″ the comp I is 3 inches shorter than the Thresher and gives rider optimal drive and slayshability.  To see the comp I in action check out the video below.

  5. Couldn’t agree more, the days are getting longer and warmer. We had back to back 85 degree+ days down here on the Lower Colorado. I think its safe to say the season is upon us.

  7. Awsome video. Another great board. What size of guy can ride this?

  9. I am 6′ 2″ 190 or so and started riding the Mako last spring. After a month, I moved on to the Thresher and by the end of the summer I was killing the comp I. This board is rid-able by almost anyone, but ideal for riders in the 175 – 190 lbs range. It is incredibly easy to stay in the wave on the comp I and the design is truly unique compared to anything on the market. This board is THE surf style board and I highly recommend to anyone that gets out on the water a couple times a week.
