BLAST Wakeskate Magazine Switching Gears
News from our friends Blast Wakeskate Magazine, Sept 27, 2011
Blast Multimedia LLC will no longer be compiling content intended for online magazine production, however we will still be generating wakeskate content for the web and other wake related publications. We have decided to switch gears into fueling our original content through other avenues as we build on portfolio’s within the web, film and photo journalism aspects of our work. With the print industry declining over the past few years the web content has undoubtedly taken over, become the norm and is apart of our everyday lives. From our perspective with regards to the wakeskate industry, quarterly issues have been a disservice to the compiled content and we feel that getting content out daily and/or weekly is the best way to continue to promote our sport to the masses. Issue 2.1, our last compiled issue, will be released in sections in upcoming weeks. Blast has been a fun project to work on, it’s provided wonderful opportunities and has built many great relationships over the past few years world wide. We cannot thank our families, friends, companies, riders, contributors, filmers, and photographers enough for supporting the movement of producing strictly wakeskate content. We feel that Blast has made a positive impact on our sport, bringing wakeskaters together from all over the globe, instilling the “do it yourself” mentality, and hopefully it’s influenced more people to hop on a wakeskate period. Again we thank all of you for the support, great times, travels, and opportunity to grow the sport of wakeskating. We will continue to stay involved in our sports documentation and hope that you will in turn support anyone progressing the sport through all types of mediums.
