Shred Stixx Wakesurf Co has announced their 2012 lineup are keeping it fresh with a new promo video shot and edited by the slayshTank Production Team right here in Austin, TX with Team Rider Chris Kinsey. This years line up is headlined by the Custom Series, hand crafted right here in the USA. The Custom Series is for wakesurfers that want to ability to build the perfect wakesurf board with endless options from 4 Carbon Fiber Packages to custom graphics and paint jobs. Each board from the custom series is the product of over 40 years of surf board development and is hand shaped and glassed right here in the USA using Stixx’s own ePtech board technology. For the 2012 season, Stixx also brought back two models from the Shred Stixx early years with the Mako and Stixxtreme. With these two boards back in the line up, Stixx truly has a surf style wakesurf board for every rider, skill level, and weight class. Also new for the 2012 season is the Carbon Flex Pro Package developed by Shred Stixx Team Shaper Nick Wiersema. This ultra light, stringerless, carbon fiber package creates the most technologically advanced wakesurf boards on the market. The CFP integrates various arrays of carbon fiber and other reinforcements, specialized core materials and epoxy formulations to develop a more resilient customizable wake surfboard package with an improved flex pattern that translates to a more rapid ‘spring-back’ effect. Lighter, faster, more responsive, and bigger airs.

With the Custom Series, customers can choose from any model in the Stixx line up in the following lengths:

Hazen Model: 4’8″ and 4′ 11″

The Pro Model

The Pro Model Shred Stixx is the standard in advanced surf style board development. This shape has been fine tuned with each new board by Shred Stixx Team Shaper Nick Wiersema. The 2012 Pro Model combines decades of shaping knowledge with the performance of the most recognized riders in the sport. The quad fin Futures set up allows for maximum drive down the line while the bottom channels allow for an easy release off the off the lip. The step allows riders to stay in the wave after big airs and tricks. The Pro Model Shred Stixx offers the best of surf style wakesurfing for riders look to push the limits of the sport.

The Thresher

The Thresher has been developed with the aggressive, out of the box rider in mind. Big air has become the next frontier for wakesurfing and the Thresher caters to riders looking for maximum drive, big air potential, and radical slaysh. This board is ideal for experienced riders but also offers beginners a challenging board with room for advancement. The Thresher features a classic surf nose and a tri fin Futures setup. This board is great for riders between 115 – 210 lbs.

The Nano
The Nano is the first surf style wakesurfer designed for kids and riders weighing between 40 and 150 lbs. The Nano has a thruster fin set up with options to ride as a twin or single fin. The design is a variant of the Thresher shape that was modified with input from team riders and testing with younger rider resulting in a board with significantly reduced volume. The Nano features a fuller rear template ending in a sharply attenuated single winged swallow tail. The short, curvy outline of this design creates a tight turning radius, making the board better suited to small waves behind the boat. This board will give kids and light weight riders a chance to experience the signature drive of all Shred Stixx wakesurf boards and the ultimate surf style wakesurfing experience. The Nano is available in both the Production Series and Custom Series made right here in the USA.

The Piranha
The Piranha is an evolution of the classic fish shape. This wakesurf board offers a true surf style ride to the widest range of skill levels and weight classes. With a slightly flatter rocker the Piranha planes at a lower speed making it ideal for the entire family and a great cruising board. The Piranha features a tri fin, quad fin, or twin fin setup catering to the each riders own surfing style.
