Keenan Flegel Starts Season with Dominating Performances In Texas

Keenan-Flegel-2015-PWT

Team Centurion Boats Keenan Flegel demonstrated his dominance in the world of wake surfing once again this past weekend with first place finishes in Mens Pro Surf and Mens Pro Skim. As the reigning World Wake Surfing Champion you might expect Keenan to take home the gold every time, but since he is always pushing to land that next un-doable trick and putting it all on the line, there’s always a chance he might not win. That wasn’t the case in Dallas, TX at the first PWT stop of the year. Keenan harnessed all of the training he does behind his 2015 Centurion Enzo FS44 and took home every pro wake surf 1st place available at the event.

Pro wake surfers hit the waters of Lake Lewisville 2 days to determine the men’s surf and skim winners as a part of the first 2015 Texas PWT stop. Keenan dominated Pro Wakesurf with 100.50 points, followed by his brother Noah Flegel with 86.00 points and Park Payne in 3rd place with 85.50 points. Pro Skim was more of the same with Keenan ending day 2 with another 1st place finish, Noah Flegel in 2nd and Aaron Withered in 3rd.

When asked to comment on Keenan’s amazingly dominant performance, Amy Mauzy, Marketing Director for Centurion Boats, said, “Way to go Keenan! Centurion Boats is incredibly proud and always pulling for you!”

Far From the Ocean, These Surfers Don’t Wait for Waves

They ride endless wakes created by speedboats; ‘a glassy Idaho lake’

NAMPA, Idaho— Justin Harrison is fighting for the right to surf in Idaho.

This type of surfing needs no ocean. It is called wakesurfing, and it lets someone surf, untethered, in a speedboat’s wake as though riding a briny wave. Boats designed for wakesurfing are hot sellers at Idaho Water Sports, the shop Mr. Harrison manages, and elsewhere. On a recent day on Lake Lowell, he drove a boat while employee William Nunnelee followed 10 feet behind, carving the wake on his surfboard.  (click here to continue reading)
