I know it seems like all we’ve been covering are the Bees, but unless we get more money to send me to festivals and quit my day job, that’s just how it’s going to have to be. Besides, they’re well worth it.

From forthcoming album, “Every Step’s a Yes” comes the latest tidbit of cyber media fodder from the Bees [A Band of Bees in U.S.]. It’s a video accompaniment to lead-off single, “I Really Need Love”, a casually soulful and sunny affair via the Guardian [UK] website.

As part of a six week wakesurf trip across Russia and Europe, Shred Stixx Rider Chase Hazen spent some time with the crew from WakeDiary.com filming this new video. This was a historic wakesurf session as Chase is the first Rider in the history of the sport to surf this part of the Moscow River near the Kremlin. Whats up everyone I’m Andrew Fortenberry, I’m going to be explaining toe side inside out three shuvs today

Set your feet up as you would for a normal three shuv

Take a nice mellow toe side edge over to the lip and right before you pop flatten off

Pop off the lip pretty hard while starting to scoop the three shuv up

Try and keep your shoulders up over your feet while your board spins

As your board comes around bring your back foot up to catch it

When you land try and stay over your toes so you don’t slip out

Stomp it and ride away clean :)

Today, I’m playing Slayshtank VJ.

If there was contention for who could make the most sun-soaked, nostalgic, and summery music, the likes of Washed Out and Wavves would certainly be mentioned names. One does so with dense layers while the other strums and cowls his way into our remembered summer of 2010. Both have recently posted videos and since I haven’t written in a while and you’ve all be such good readers, here’s both of them (thanks to P4K—not my only source, but might as well be…):

We will be serving brisket chopped or sliced, and rolled in tortilla shell.

We will serve some, Friday night. Saturday afternoon and evening.
On Saturday and Sunday mornings, we will serve breakfast roll ups, egg and sausage and some with cheese, but simple, served in foil wraps.
We sell beer at our bar, also soft drinks, water, ice, pizza and chips.

Drinking responsible, is our main goal for a fun time !

The Gate closes at Midnight. Nobody  comes or goes till 6am.

For your safety. No Glass Containers and No Open Fires !

There is a $25.00 fee for camping, meals and some Beer.

$15.00 if you want to park by the water for the weekend.

$5.00 for the day, walk to the water.

Boat Ramp and Parking for Flat bottom, Pontoon Boats and Jet Skies.

Boat Ramp for Throwdown Guests only.

We will have porta-potties, trash barrels, tables, chairs, and lighting for nighttime.

Our SOS Band will play sometime, and I can get Karaoke, set up.

Also, we will have volleyball to warm yall up!
We have 3 acres to play on so bring frisbee, football ect.

slayshTank is checking in with Shred Stixx Rider Chase Hazen while he shreds Moscow this week during the shoot of a new wakesurf video with the crew from wakediary.com and MTV Russia. Chase is currently on a 6 week surf trip that will take him from his part time home in Austin,TX to Moscow and then on to compete in the final stop of the King of the Lake Wakesurf contest in Zurich.  From there, it might be the south of France to catch some ocean surf, check back at the Tank and we will let you know.

The much anticipated video from Tad Mathews is set to preview Sept 4 down south in Ocoee. Check back at the Tank for some footage.

Earlier this season we were introduced to the Blanton brothers with a sick wakesurfing video from Oconomowoc, WI. Corbin on the camera and Shane on the Shredding. This time around we see the same combination with a new board from Shred Stixx Wakesurf Co. This video is our second look at the 2011 Limited Edition III Lagace Pro Model and gives us something to look forward to already. This new skim design is still in the works but very close to a finished board and will be available for pre order this winter. Enjoy the video and these shots of Shane and the new Stixx.

Teisseire and the French Wakesurf association organize for the second year:

“THE KING OF THE LAKE TEISSEIRE WAKESURF TOUR”

Visit us for the final stop on the beach of Angon – Talloires on the Annecy Lake in France, september 4th and 5th 2010.
You can find the mechanical surf rodeo, the Teisseire tasting booth and DJ Philou From Radio MEUH, who will mix all the weekend.

It will be possible to test some wakesurf boards with four wakesurfing brands on the site (Shred Stixx, Varua boards,The Walker project, Inland Surfer).
A boat will also be reserved to discover the sport to new fans.

You ‘ll can eat on the place all the week end with the BBQ and chill on the beach on the Saturday nite with Dj Hell Be.

There will also be a small race of Stand Up Paddle in partnership with Wake the best.

This year we have a “pro” category with 1000 € cash prize.
You can download the registration form on wakesurf.fr on the events page. Just fill it and bring it back to the contest to confirm and pay your registration.
