Shred Stixx Wakesurf Co Announces First Surf Style Wakesurfer for Kids

The latest creation from Shred Stixx Team Shaper Nick Wiersema The Minnow

Its that time of year when Shred Stixx Wakesurf Company starts to release news on the 2011 new boards and changes to the existing wakesurf line up.  We can expect at least two new boards from Stixx with the addition of the LE III Lagace Prom Model Skim and the Minnow as the latest creation from Stixx team shaper Nick Wiersema.  The Minnow is the first surf style wakesurfer designed for kids and riders weighing between 50 and 160 lbs.   The design was taken from a Thresher shape and modified down.

The Minnow from Shred Stixx Wakesurf Co

The Minnow has a thruster fin set up with options to ride as a twin or single fin.  The Minnow was developed in response to a lack of boards designed with younger and lighter riders in mind.  First dubbed ‘Project Nano’, the Stixx team gathered a wealth of knowledge gained in creating the most progressive and advanced designs available, like the Chase Hazen Elevation, the Rebecca Ort LEII, and Thresher and focused them towards this mission. Superficially, the Minnow resembles the Thresher, but the overall volume has been significantly reduced, with a fuller rear template ending in a sharply attenuated single winged swallow tail.

This board will give kids and light weight riders a chance to experience the signature drive of all Shred Stixx wakesurf boards that allow for the biggest airs in the sport.  This board is available now as a custom order and the production board will be available for pre order by the new year.
